" The boys are in the act of attaching the rope around the top of a Gaslamp, sometimes they would tie the rope to an old bicycle tyre, to give it extra swing and extra comfort.
The long upright paintings of  " Boys' Games " and " Girls' Games "  are designed to be a pair. They show how we used to use these streetlamps, as totally necessary, recreational vehicles. "
