Along Broadway, Open Edition Print by E Anthony Orme
New York Collection – The USA holds a lasting impression for me, I have spent some time in New York City and particularly in Manhattan north, central and down town. The amazing skyscrapers were a fascinating and challenging subject to pint. The capital State building, the Chrysler building, the flat iron, Carnegie hall, Radio City, each all had something different to offer a greedy artist. However, the Times Square was ultimately the crowning glory as I felt the electricity emanating from the brilliantly lit neon signs. With wall to wall people it was very difficult to stand and sketch as I was jostled on many occasions, meaning I had to work quickly… but I wouldn’t have missed it for the world.
